Become a Sponsor!

Sponsoring is one way that you can direct your donations. There are a variety of areas to sponsor, some general, some more specific, but all are needs that must be met. Here are some of the ways to sponsor:

Sponsor a Horse

SHARE supports a number of horses who are not suitable for adoption due to their ongoing medical needs or advanced age. These horses need regular sponsors to help with their expenses. You may also sponsor ongoing care and training for any of our adoptable horses! Sponsorship is currently $25, $50 or $100 per month.  A $25 monthly sponsorship will pay for hay for one month; a $50 monthly sponsorship will provide hay and grain for one month; and a $100 monthly sponsorship will pay for hay, grain and any needed medications and/or farrier visits each month!

Dental Sponsorships

February is Animal Dental Health month, and we have an annual visit from our equine dentist in March. Every horse should have their teeth checked and floated as necessary at least annually. Some horses recovering from neglect or previous lack of dental care may need more frequent checking and work to return their mouth to a healthy state. A well maintained mouth means a comfortable horseand improved nutrition as they are better able to process their feed. Each horse's annual dental work is approximately $115. Just let us know which horse you want to sponsor when you send your check or in the comments as you process the PayPal donation.

Training Sponsorships

It is no secret that horses broke to ride are the easiest to find homes. Most of the horses that come in are not broke to ride. Our volunteers and foster homes are able to get a few started or green broke every summer, but it is a huge help to send a horse off to a professional trainer. We have a special relationship with a professional who gives us a discount and does great job. Training is currently $550 per month and we like to send horses to our trainer for 1-3 months. Just let us know which horse you want to sponsor when you send your check or in the comments as you process the PayPal donation. You may click on the image of the horse that you wish to sponsor training for and be taken directly to PayPal as well.

Sponsor a Sanctuary Horse

Horses become sanctuary horses for a variety of reasons. Some have chronic conditions that are difficult or expensive to manage, or have a poor prognosis where we don't feel it is appropriate to burden an asopter with their condition or put the horse through the stress of moving. In addition to the usual cost of care for these horses, several have ongoing medical expenses. Sponsorship for a sanctuary horse is currently $25, $50 or $100 per month. If you can't commit to a sponsorship, we appreciate any donations toward their care. Just let us know which horse you want to sponsor when you send your check or in the comments as you process the PayPal donation. You may click on the image of the horse that you wish to sponsor training for and be taken directly to PayPal as well.

Sponsor an Adoptable Horse

Take a look at our adoption list and just let us know which horse you want to sponsor when you send your check or in the comments as you process the PayPal donation. We will note any horses that have ongoing sponsors on the adoption list. Sponsorship is currently $25, $50, or $100 per month.
